Mmmhhh... just as a side note: I would suggest to use the graphicx package, it superseded packages like psfig and epsfig some time ago and is IMHO the best way to make things work in LaTeX nowadays. Anyway, regarding your problem, it's probably a naughty EPS file as you may have suspected. Here's what I generally do with PowerPoint graphics: - Save them in .wmf format (PPT can do that) - Convert the .wmf to .eps format with wmf2eps: http://www.wmf2eps.de.vu/ Works for me every time...
