> @BOOK{OrlovPolunovShchetinov1994, > author = "A. S. Orlov and A. Iu. Polunov and Iu. A. > Shchetinov", > ... For a complete solution to the problem, I use the following (dirty) trick: author = "Azimov, {\-Ya}. I. and Dokshitzer, {\-Yu}ri L. and Khoze, Valery A. and Troian, Sergei I.", The \- is read by BibTeX as an accent that forces everything inside {} to be kept together as a single token. Of course, LaTeX does nothing with \- since there is nothing to hyphenate. Note the position of the period (OUTside the {}). Note the position of the {} (OUTside the \- and the letters to keep united) If you prefer, you can use \@ instead. Both of these could come awry if \- or \@ got redefined by some package, so (for complete safety) you should instead use {\relax{Yu}}ri, etc. The extra {} is for safety since a space might get eaten by BibTeX (via a custom bst). Safer but more cumbersome than the \- or \@. Cheers, Phil |
