Also when you run into problesm try to compile on the command line to check if the configuration of the editor is wrong or the tex system. > I get endless comments. > These start with " texcase.sty not found". As far as I can see there is > no textcase.sty file in my version of 2.9. It is in mine D:\MiKTeX2.9\tex\latex\textcase\textcase.sty Package: textcase 2004/10/07 v0.07 Text only upper/lower case changing (DPC) > Then "natbib.sty 2007/02/05 available, version 2009/11/07 requested". > How do I get this version ?´ My miktex has this natbib version D:\MiKTeX2.9\tex\latex\natbib\natbib.sty Package: natbib 2010/09/13 8.31b > Then I am told to install an endless list of files, such as > infwarerr.sty, grfext.sty, kvdefinekeys.sty, . . . . . Well then install them. If you installed only the basic miktex it is quite possible that some packages are missing. miktex has an on-the-fly installer, let it do the work. Start to worry only if this installations fail. > which were not needed before, "package.color no driver specified", > "special.map not found" > and so on. What has happened ? Sorry but how should we know? It is your system. Please credit the maintainer of miktex and the other users some basic intelligence: If the system wouldn't work at all someone would have noticed. So it is something on *your* system that is wrong. It doesn't make sense to tell us that you install the program *somewhere* and adjusted *some* pathes. It is useless to quote *some* unspecific error messages. TeX & friends produce more exact log-files and terminal messages than that. So try to be a bit more specific. > I am sending you my document and an eps figure so you can test for > yourself. The eps-file has been stripped. You must put it somewhere for download. Apart from this you example compiles without problems. -- Ulrike Fischer http://www.troubleshooting-tex.de/ |
