Hi again, So that other people having the same problem in the future (and eventually finding how to search the mailing list archive) do not remain stuck, here is how I solved it. The principle is that Yap (to make it short) stores the page layout, zoom, etc. in the Windows registry. The cure consists in finding and deleting the entry in the registry. For me the command to issue at the DOS prompt was: reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MiKTeX.org\MiKTeX\2.7\Yap\screen Your mileage may vary since the entry contains the version number of MiKTeX. The following command line may be helpful. It lists all entries with a key starting with Software\MiKTeX.org: reg query HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MiKTeX.org /s Bruno.
