Actually I've installed 2.8, sorry. I've downloaded the recent versions of everything.... The log file: This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-1.40.10 (MiKTeX 2.8) (preloaded format=latex 2009.9.16) 16 SEP 2009 19:00 entering extended mode **idztihad.tex (C:\Users\marysia\Documents\Tech\polski\idzma\idztihad.tex LaTeX2e <2005/12/01> Babel <v3.8l> and hyphenation patterns for english, dumylang, nohyphenation, ge rman, ngerman, german-x-2009-06-19, ngerman-x-2009-06-19, french, loaded. ("C:\MiKTeX 2.8\tex\latex\base\article.cls" Document Class: article 2005/09/16 v1.4f Standard LaTeX document class ("C:\MiKTeX 2.8\tex\latex\base\size12.clo" File: size12.clo 2005/09/16 v1.4f Standard LaTeX file (size option) ) \c@part=\count79 \c@section=\count80 \c@subsection=\count81 \c@subsubsection=\count82 \c@paragraph=\count83 \c@subparagraph=\count84 \c@figure=\count85 \c@table=\count86 \abovecaptionskip=\skip41 \belowcaptionskip=\skip42 \bibindent=\dimen102 ) Maybe there are some missing packages, but I don't know which ones... I thought it should give the error report like unknow command or something like that... what is net install? I've dawnloaded from miktex.org the recommanded basic version, but later I've installed lyx (I hoped maybe it will work), it was asking missing packages, I've installed all... I've indicated english, french, polish and arabic languages. greetings Maria 2009/9/15 William OLLIVIER <gun...@on...> > Here are a few things you can try about the installation problem: > - Try installing version 2.8 instead of 2.7, which is now outdated.
