Unless you've customized your installation, when you compile your document with MiKTeX 2.6 it will use the packages installed in your MiKTeX 2.6 directory and ignore those in your 2.2 installation. The packages installed with 2.6 are the latest (or nearly so) versions from CTAN. The ones installed with 2.2 are not, unless you've been updating them yourself by hand. So when you switch from 2.2 to 2.6 you *are*, in fact, upgrading the packages you use. > I join to this mail an axample, the file is named sample.tex this one > compile normally with miktex 3.2, but display the same message in the > 3.6 version. I join also the bibliography file, which is the same that I > use in general I can reproduce the error, but your example is far from minimal. Here is the sort of thing people are usually after when they request a minimal example: \documentclass[a4paper]{ifacmtg} \usepackage{harvard} \listfiles \begin{document} \cite{STA_1995} \bibliographystyle{ifac} \bibliography{bibliographie2} \end{document} This reproduces the error without introducing all sorts of unrelated material that make solving it more difficult. It appears that there is a clash between ifacmtg.cls and harvard.sty. If you remove harvard.sty, ifacmtg.cls will automatically load natbib.sty; however, a clash remains and you get a different error. I suspect ifacmtg.cls needs to be patched or updated to fix the problem. Hope that helps. Alan |
