RE: [MiKTeX] tex.pool doesn't match after update

Followup & Resolution:

I manually downloaded the latest packages (from today and the last 2 days)
from the primary site ftp://sunsite.dk/projects/miktex/pub/tm/packages/ and
the update wizard told me that these packages are new:

miktex-extex-bin
miktex-pdfetex-bin

These were the packages that caused the tex.pool mismatch error. I also
installed the

miktex-runtime-bin

package, and there was no checksum error anymore. Everything went flawless
and I was able to successfully compile my thesis again!
