It`s a bit complicate. 1. Uninstall your NVIDIA and Mesa libs from /usr/lib/. 2. Install the NVIDIA driver package. Verify that it works. 3. Compile Mesa and manually install the libGL.so.* files in /usr/local/lib (for example). 4. Use LD_LIBRARY_PATH to choose between the NVIDIA and Mesa libraries in /usr/lib and /usr/local/lib, respectively. 5. The libGLU.so from your original XFree86 install should be fine. 6. The libglut.so (GLUT) from Mesa can be installed in /usr/lib -Brian |
