Hi, I've decided to go on to another project, still pretty small that will allow me to masterize some of OpenGL's functions... My next project is for learning how to use textures, transparency, the use of the mouse (buttons, positions, etc)... The program is a puzzle game, it will load any JPEG the user wants, create a viewport the size of the puzzle and then create the pieces of the puzzle with the JPEG, shuffle them and have fun! Here is what I need to make the program: -Loading JPEG (still looking for an official library...) -Creating transparent textures -Knowing the mouse's position at every frame -Activation of a function when the mouse button is pressed -Activation of another function when the mouse button is released I'm sure all this is pretty trivial to you that have mastered much more difficult things, but for me, as a newbie, I don't even know where to look for information... I printed OpenGL's documentation, read a lot of it... but I don't understand some of the ideas... such as texturing... I was actually wondering if you could give me hints, links to documentation, examples of code, for every of the steps shown above? Giving me the answer might not be the solution for big problems, examples are good, hints are awesome (like don't forget that textures have a maximum size of 256x256 on voodoo3s for acceleration...), and then pointing to a paragraph of interest in an online manual is also good!
