Hi, first time user here, so quite possibly a stupid question. I have just successfully (I think) installed mesa, and I now want to install FreeEOS. I have been following the instructions here: http://mesastar.org/tools-utilities/installing-freeeos-with-the-mesa-sdk However, when I get to the "make" step, I get the following error: /usr/bin/ld: /media/InternalDataDisk/WORK/MESA/mesasdk/lib/liblapack.a(dgesvx.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against `.rodata' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC /media/InternalDataDisk/WORK/MESA/mesasdk/lib/liblapack.a: error adding symbols: Bad value collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [src/libfree_eos.so.0.0.8] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/media/InternalDataDisk/WORK/MESA/free_eos-2.2.1/build_dir' make[1]: *** [src/CMakeFiles/free_eos.dir/all] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/media/InternalDataDisk/WORK/MESA/free_eos-2.2.1/build_dir' make: *** [all] Error 2 Any suggestions for what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
