Running MEL 1.6.0 beta on Eggdrop 1.6.10 on Win2K
latest Service Pack/Updates.....
This morning when checking the logs made by MEL,
this was discovered:
[18:40] *** Kerjin (Kerjin_Ari@=1krbh.myndworx.com)
has joined #GreatHall
[18:40] *** ChanServ sets mode: +o Kerjin
[19:59] <Kerjin> Ishallreturnwhenceitisbusier....
It appears that the script is suddenly dropping the
spaces between words. Rebooted the bot and got this:
[07:52] <{nadira}Kjn> GreetingsOhBotlyOne
Session Time: Sun Nov 17 07:53:32 2002
[07:53] *** Bondaru (bondaru@=gisdu.myndworx.com)

It works for me... :)
Not much of an answer.... after doing some more extensive
testing with the help of BraZer it was discovered that editing
the tcl file in notepad or wordpad changes the file format to
DOS instead of the default UNIX...
solution? Don't use those editors... :) I use UltraEdit for
example...
A workaround would be to find the proc mel_strip and
comment out the lines which have the weird blocky symbols
in it. They're meant to strip out color codes, but if you can live
with color codes in your logfiles then comment them out.
