My biggest problems were getting mythtv to use the right input. Though in retrospect I may have been loading mythbackend before I loaded the marvel drivers. Also, mjpeg is a terribly bloated codec. I would record at fairly low quality, and still get HUGE files. And these files wouldn't play back on a Athlon XP 2000+ frontend without stutter. I never got mythtv to do hardware decoding with the G400+RRG. I seem to remember that you can encode and decode at the same time, so this would make livetv rather painful. You may be better off getting a PVR250. I sure was. Mark |
