Hello Deepak, Seems like you get a connection refuse. Make sure you are not running software that restrict your access to sockets like firewall. For the marathon case, it's port 1099. If it still doesn't help, check your java.security which should be in either your <jre or jdk directory>/jre/lib/security Look into grant - SocketPermission and allow connection. You can check the usage of SocketPermission on http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/net/SocketPermission.html PS: You might also want to restrict the scope of that permission to marathon only.
