First, verify that maki is actually being called to handle the request (if your log level is 1 or 2, you should see evidence of this in the maki.log file). If maki isn't being called, make sure that an "AddHandler maki .xml" directive is in place for the location where the diary/docs files are. If maki is handling the requests, but is returning raw xml, make sure that you set up the zone correctly. Double-check your paths to be sure that the zone's @match will actually match the location of the .xml files. If you still can't get it to work, set the debug-level to 2, try to hit the list.xml page, and send me a copy of maki-conf.xml and of the end of maki.log.
