I'm guessing that this RX filter is internal to either the driver, the HAL or the hardware, and the "default" of 0x00 means "do whatever is best for the current mode?" It still seems strange to me that with the default of 0x00 the ath0raw interface behaves so differently under the different modes, but I'm happy since I can now get the raw device to work while ath0 is doing something else: perfect. I see that 0x100 is the "CRC failed" bit, are there specific meanings for the other bits in this filter? Are they documented anywhere, or can someone point me to the relevant chunk of source? I also just noticed that I should have seen these directions on your web page. However, the description of rxfilter ends in the middle of a sentence: http://pdos.csail.mit.edu/~jbicket/madwifi.stripped/ Thanks for your help (and for the code!), Evan Jones -- Evan Jones http://evanjones.ca/ |
