I'm actually using ad-hoc mode, and not infrastructure mode. But the procedure for creating the bridge remains the same. The only difference then is the mode the card is running in (ad-hox vs. master). Running in master mode makes my problem go away. No more errors. So that's another indication it's something in the driver. But this gives me a lead to investigate. Thanks.
