I've been experiencing some random lockups using the recent cvs code, dated 15 July 2005 as of about 16:00 PST. The lockups will come almost without warning: all of a sudden all network traffic grinds to a standstill, and seconds later the machine is hopelessly deadlocked. There is nothing in the system logs to give any indication of what may be causing it, so hence I cannot provide an oops or a backtrace or anything. i know, it's a "my car makes this funny noise" bug report, but believe me, if i had more information i'd relay it :( I suppose I could hook up an old wyse or something to the serial port and connect the console that way... maybe if it locks again I'll do that. anyhow, my system config is as follows: nemesis# uname -a Linux nemesis.damnit.us 2.6.12.2-HOS #4 SMP Sat Jul 16 12:53:13 PDT 2005 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux nemesis# iwconfig --version iwconfig Wireless-Tools version 27 nemesis# dmesg | grep wlan wlan: 0.8.5.0-BSD (EXPERIMENTAL) nemesis# dmesg | grep ath ath_hal: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel. ath_hal: 0.9.14.9 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413) ath_rate_onoe: 1.0 ath_pci: 0.9.5.0-BSD (EXPERIMENTAL) nemesis# lspci | grep -i atheros 00:0b.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev 01) if anyone has any ideas, feel free to let me know. thanks. -kelsey |
