It's associated with my Linksys BEFW11S4, about 20ft from the AP. I transfer a file from the wired net to my laptop over the AP and it fails shortly after the bandwidth spikes. I get no console messages. After a little while of testing , it stopped going into scan when it failed, it seems that I'm nolonger getting beacon miss interrupts. Here's a before and after the failure occurs. And a little more testing later, the bmiss recovery seemed to return, very odd. It seems to mostly be in the "work or die, don't recover" states now, I can see that it stops receiving beacons in the "dead" state since the net iface counts beacons in the RX packets counts.
