[Madwifi-users] recommend a version to avoid kernel crashes please

I'm seeing kernel hangs and crashes running 'madwifi-ng-r2568-20070710' with a 2.6.21.6 kernel on OpenWrt 7.07. This is on ixp425 hardware and with Mikrotik R52H radios. The setup seems stable in the lab but when I deploy in the field the board in the AP mode crashes pretty much as soon as a client associates and passes traffic. I'm wondering if there's a 'better' version of madwifi that I should try. Any pointers appreciated.
