Will, Thank you for your testimony. It's not a good pice of news for me ... As the bridge makes the link between two point-to-point, I don't think it's possible to use an AP doing WDS, as I would have to connect each link to one of the antenna connectors of the AP (Linksys AP have two antenna connectors but I don't think i'ts possible to use them as this). Using an ARP proxy was working quite well, but it requires a different IP range for each interfaces, and you have to do a lot of port forwarding and other NAT things to go through the "bridge". I really want to use a clean bridging between the interfaces and using only one IP range in my whole network. Another "solution" I'm thinking about is to put two Linksys WRT54G back to back and using OpenWRT to make the required bridging ... but it seems quite complicated ! In your solution, did you use the WDS feature as mentioned in the HOWTO ?
