I have had problems with various versions of Madwifi-NG and 'adhoc' 
mode. I have not tested the most recent incarnations, but
until mid Feb there were some serious kernel panic problems with just 
using 'adhoc' at all. I believe that problem has been
corrected.

However, I have seen a problem with the 'automatic rate' adjustment 
code, where on some occasions the rate fluctuates 'wildly', or
in some exceptionally odd cases causes a kernel panic. These may be 
addressed/mentioned with problem tickets. Unfortunately my
time has been spent getting 'the rest of the system' working so that all 
my touted 'features' beyond getting RF signals working has
taken more time than I have available, so testing, debugging, and 
posting on the NG code has taken a back seat in my priorities.

This will of course change when I'm confronted with an interface which 
requires the new HAL...
