Although, in my case, I have no WEP, or any security. And i'm in ad-hoc mode. In my case, after "a while" (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes half an hour, etc), the connection breaks. Both the machines use the same D-Link G520 card, except one is linux, the other is winxp. On the winxp end, after the connection breaks, every time I restart the wireless network, my ESSID is shown to have a new random MAC. Unloading the drivers and restarting the wireless network on my end *usually* fixes things. Which is why I'm inclined to think it's a madwifi problem. |
