Hello, Total newbie here, trying to set up a couple of virtual APs, any help would be very appreciated: Using the r1346 snapshot. The host machine runs Linux 2.6.14.3 and has HyperThreading (and SMP support) enabled. Module load messages: Nov 28 22:53:46 greebo kernel: ath_hal: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel. When I ran the hostapd with: sudo hostapd -d hostapd-ath0.conf hostapd-ath1.conf I saw: Configuration file: hostapd-ath0.conf Using interface ath0 with hwaddr 00:0f:cb:b1:b0:9c and ssid 'test1' madwifi_configure_wpa: group key cipher=3 madwifi_configure_wpa: pairwise key ciphers=0x8 madwifi_configure_wpa: key management algorithms=0x2 madwifi_configure_wpa: rsn capabilities=0x0 madwifi_configure_wpa: enable WPA= 0x1 madwifi_set_privacy: enabled=1 WPA: group state machine entering state GTK_INIT GMK - hexdump(len=32): eb 54 71 cc a2 cb 0e 79 da a2 52 ff 10 ce 7e c7 49 6d 66 d3 72 89 a3 47 7f ff 4d 37 87 4e 0f ca GTK - hexdump(len=16): 30 23 00 1a 26 04 41 a1 90 f3 40 f6 77 54 37 8c WPA: group state machine entering state SETKEYSDONE madwifi_set_key: alg=CCMP addr=00:00:00:00:00:00 key_idx=1 Flushing old station entries madwifi_sta_deauth: addr=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff reason_code=3 Deauthenticate all stations Configuration file: hostapd-ath1.conf ctrl_interface_group=0 Using interface ath1 with hwaddr 06:0f:cb:b1:b0:9c and ssid 'test2' madwifi_configure_wpa: group key cipher=3 madwifi_configure_wpa: pairwise key ciphers=0x8 madwifi_configure_wpa: key management algorithms=0x2 madwifi_configure_wpa: rsn capabilities=0x0 madwifi_configure_wpa: enable WPA= 0x1 At that point I got a hard lock. Unfortunately I had no syslog server available, but I managed to take a picture of the console, available here: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c36/sell_my_sph_stuff/kernel%20panic/panic.jpg Any ideas? Is the info in the panic picture enough? If not, I'll try to crash my SOHO gateway box again, this time capturing the console better :-P Thanks Dimitris. -- Make history or be it. |
