I'm running a FC4 system and was trying to follow instructions in the INSTALL file: ./configure; make; modprobe ath_pci . I expected my system to recognize ath0 after rebooting. When I reboot, the startup fails to initialize ath0; ifconfig doesn't see ath0; /dev/ath0 doesn't exist (although I'm not sure if it should exist). lsmod|grep ath sees something: ath_pci 84640 0 ath_rate_sample 16776 1 ath_pci wlan 142492 2 ath_pci,ath_rate_sample ath_hal 148432 2 ath_pci,ath_rate_sample Are there any diagnostics that would be helpful for me to provide? Is there anything else I should be doing to access the network through ath0? -- ++ Jonathan Hayward, jon...@po... ** To see an award-winning website with stories, essays, artwork, ** games, and a four-dimensional maze, why not visit my home page? ** All of this is waiting for you at http://JonathansCorner.com ** If you'd like a Google Mail (gmail.com <http://gmail.com>) account, please tell me! |
