In our experience with heaps of different trunk builds etc,
 0.9.3 gives better range and throughput than trunk.

Bruno reported to me the ath5k code works to 80 meters. 

We get 800m with the trunk builds, and hundreds of kilobits.

We have achieved 1.4km, 4mbits each way with an older build based on
a release (around 2171).

As yet, I  have not tested the ANI patch at range.
