It's quite heavy. Right, thinking it over, it's probably a good idea to go for something lighter. Like a duck-typing interface that Madeleine-based models could take advantage of all the benefits that Action Pack provides for Active Records. I'm thinking that I'd like to do a Rails package called something else that was setup for running with Madeleine as a model super easiely. Naseby had a funny term "Derailed", which might be used. Perhaps it's a little negative, but it's pretty funny :). Basically, I think Madeleine deserves way more attention in the spotlight as a premier choice for web-app models. Having a package like Rails to make it super easy to get started would be a great way of promoting that choice. -- David Heinemeier Hansson, http://www.rubyonrails.org/ -- Web-application framework for Ruby http://www.instiki.org/ -- A No-Step-Three Wiki in Ruby http://www.basecamphq.com/ -- Web-based Project Management http://www.loudthinking.com/ -- Broadcasting Brain http://www.nextangle.com/ -- Development & Consulting Services |
