Hi.

Also, I want to run vb6.exe with administrator right. But it seems not work, it still asking yes/no by windows. I am running windows 8.1 update 1.
Thanks

    Hi,

    1. The favorites bar config is located at C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\MadAppLauncher\favorites.config

    2. As for running a program with admin rights, it does ask for yes/no even if you are logged in as a user that is an administrator. That is what UAC(User Account Control) does. By the way, UAC is built in to Windows Vista and up. I just ran a program in MAL to test Run as Admin on Windows 7 and it does work. I am not sure about Win 8/8.1 because I don't have access to that OS version :( sorry.

You can test if it is a MAL issue though. Try running the program(vb6.exe) from explorer, right-click and run as administrator. See if it will ask YES/NO and if you have admin rights. MAL does exactly that. Again, I'm not sure for Win 8/8.1. At least you can compare if it is a problem with MAL or if it is just how Windows Vista and up works. You may find this link helpful... http://forums.atomicmpc.com.au/lofiversion/index.php?t45049.html

The link mentions how to remove that UAC prompt for a specific program without turning off UAC completely.

Good luck! Please let me know what happens so I can close this ticket. Thanks.
