Hey again, I haven't been very clear so I'll try to rephrase my question. I do know how to mute and unmute inputs etc. I am interested in whether or not there are people who have used a plugin mic on the first generation macbook and which alsa version they have been using. Of course, posting your working mixer profile would be a great help too.
