I'm using LXPanel 0.7.2 and if a start menu entry is being added to the desktop the created shortcut has no ending newline character.

    Thank you very much for reporting this. It is not lxpanel issue but rather an issue in libfm. I would like to know if that missing newline causes any problem?

      Outputting such a textfile with no ending newline character on the console/terminal does look broken but besides of this I haven't noticed any other issues.
