Compiled lxsession 0.5.0 this morning (Fedora20, x86_64). When opening lxsession-default-apps it hangs on 'updating database'. The log file showed the following error:
Message: desktop-files-backend.vala:257: Scanning folder: /usr/share/app-install/desktop
Message: desktop-files-backend.vala:278: Start scanning
Error: list_files failed: No such file or directory
AFAIK Fedora stores desktop files in /usr/share/applications. Creating the beforementioned directory fixes the issue. But I suspect Fedora will not start carrying /usr/share/app-install/desktop in the (near) future.
Hi.
Same here using openSUSE 13.1 x86_64. Attached image showing the error. Closing the popup window doesn't finish the application, I have to use Ctrl+C.
Btw, message is not translated to Spanish.
Greetings.
I created the following patch that fixes the problem:
https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/patches/479/
Above patch seems to be working fine.
Compiled from a fresh snapshot this morning, it seems that commit 04a5a75ba10adeee261dc46a78314a08cfe093f3 has resolved this issue.
