OK folks, anybody home? Sorry for disturbing you, but I do have an interesting (for me) question. Recently, I've found Lush and at first glance it appeared to be interesting and promising thing, especialy for a person scared by non-Lisp languages and CMUCL build process alike. But my exciting attitude was interrupted by the first manual page, namely "dynamic-scoped" words. I think that Lisp must be staticaly scoped, at least for last 20 years. "Dynamic" here means "no closures", along with some umbigous situations with macro variables. So can anybody say how exactly Lush is compared to more die-hard Lisp thingies, particulary Common Lisp implementations and how it scares Lisp hacker's mind. Again, sorry for disturbing, Anton P.S. If anyone reading this and is willing to reply, do it directly to me, as I'm not subscribed... at least for now. |
