Hello James, and thanks for the answer. I already tried this and it shows nothing at all, the progress bar just disappears and the the bash prompt reappears. I didn't check the exit status thought, will do this Monday. I had a doubt that it is a java problem, because another web-based java application was not launching just in a similar matter. But then I downloaded a simple java program (a chess) and started it as a local app it turns without problems. I have no clues about how to debug.
