I think you'll find that one capable server can handle many more than
7 clients in most circumstances. Since the server's only real workload
is to feed files to the clients, I would be inclined to procure a
modest server and focus my resources on disk speed. With 100 clients
sharing the server's nfs resources, you would do well to use
enterprise SSD or at least SSD caching if it's in your budget.

If you followed that guide then you should be able to PXE-boot your
client and and clients will boot and have whatever software bundle you
created in the chroot.
