HI there .. sorry for delay @ P Knight Yes .. I know the option -fat-client but if i do .. then the program heekscnc reside in the chroot and the execution start on the client ( with less cpu power) and not in the server side ( with more cpu power ). and anyway .. if i compile a program from source on the server.... @ Alkis Georgopoulos YYYYES !! I had noticed that command scrolling /usr/bin directory (in chroot). and tried to run it without any luck. I did not find documentation as lts.conf Thanks for telling me how to activate the command. 2011/12/11 P Knight <pdk...@gm...> > Hi > If you use the --fat-client option when you build the image, it should > include all the applications that are installed on the server without you > have to worry about it. > Checkout the command ltsp-build-client --extra-help as well. > Peter > > > On Sat, Dec 10, 2011 at 11:34 PM, luca predari <lux...@gm...>wrote: > >> HI P Knight >> >> so... >> >> the problem with vlc and in general with LOCAL_APPS_MENU_ITEMS = vlc >> is solved. >> the problem was that i log in in the thin client with the same user who >> is on the server. >> was enough to create a new user and login from thin clients >> and everything 'went ok. >> >> second problem .. >> i have a ion machine. zotac 2 core atom with 2GB ram >> I think it is a good solution for a fat client. >> >> but .. there is a program .. a cad cam program ( heekscad ) >> that uses a lot of CPU power when make a job. >> and a 2core atom il too bad for these, >> imho would be better to use the power of the server CPU >> >> but if i make a fat client .. the program, heekscad, rightly disappearsfrom the menu >> because >> is not in the chroot. >> >> then asked if there was a way to invoke the heekscad from fatclient >> to the server.... >> >> otherwise ok ...
