This is not a question to the list. It's a thank you! to the LTSP people and the everyone else helping out. This is my scenario...: SuSE9.2/LTSP4.2 One, just one machine needs a local printer. It's a modern Brother USB laserprinter. I read the wiki. I modify lts.conf accordingly. I reboot the workstation. I print succesfully in my first try. Further this new USB printer should only be useable by 3 distinct users. I modify /etc/cups/printers.conf and restart cups. Succes! It took me under 5 minutes to attach a modern USB printer to an ancient LTSP 4.2 system with SuSE9.2. Again; LTSP saved not only my day but also the day of a small local football club who was allowed to attach one, old machine to the LTSP network of the school next door. To all, thanks.
