I have this LTSPFS_TOKEN problem at the very first time I was trying to install and setup ltsp. Maybe with ltsp4.2, too. >From the source of ltspfs this error refers to something weird with X connection. (XGetWindowProperty returns with false or the type is not XA_STRING) Have you got a file /var/run/ltspfs_token ? (after login with ldm) Here, I have installed the debs built from some own-patched version of ltsp_5.0.31debian2.tar.gz and ltspfs_0.5+debian1.tar.gz I also looked after is there some main differences from the latest official debian-patched version but did not find any particular, at a first glance.
