Hi list, =2D On SuSE10.1/LTSP4.2u4 we've got a funny sound problem. We don't want so= und=20 in Linux, so in lts.conf we do: SOUND_DAEMON =3D "rdp", which as the wiki=20 explains allows the modules but not the daemon to load. =2D Thus the line SCREEN_02 =3D rdesktop -r sound:local IP-OF-WINDOWSBOX wo= rks=20 just fine. Windows (a MS2003 terminal server) plays sound beautfully on the= =20 client. =2D but that's when we hit the ctrl-alt-f2 and switches entirely to a=20 win-desktop. =2D PROBLEM: if from within a Linux client session, one opens up a shell an= d=20 gives "rdesktop -some-paramters -r sound:local IP-OF-WINBOX" then there is = no=20 sound from that windows session. It doesn't matter if it's a desktop sessio= n=20 or just an application (with -s). =2D and, the linuxserver records an error in the shell from which the=20 win-session was opened: "/dev/dsp: No such file or directory" Any ideas? =2D-=20 =2D----------------------------- Med venlig hilsen/Best regards Verner Kj=E6rsgaard |
