[LTP] LTP and cross-developing for embedded systems

I need to start running regression tests on
our embedded Linux systems.  Has anyone ever
tried using the LTP in a cross-compilation
environment?  Right now, the makefile does
things like create users; that simply won't
work in a cross-development environment.
