In keeping with LoLL policy, documentation links tend to appear twice in LoLL; once in a Documentation sub-category and once in the applicable subject category. *Added Search Engines sub-category in Software Applications. *Moved all search engine urls within Software Applications to Software Applications--Search Engines *Moved all search engine urls in other categories to Software Applications--Search Engines. *Revisions to following sub-categories: Linux General--Certification => Linux General--Certification / Training Networking--VoIP Related => Networking--VoIP Software Applications--Backup/Restore Apps =>Backup / Restore Software Applications--Demo Apps => Demo Software Applications--Office Apps => Office *Added Text Editors sub-category in Software Applications. *Consolidated all text editor urls into Software Applications--Text Editors *Reviewed resources available on Linux hardware compatibility and added 2 bookmarks to the Hardware category. *Reviewed Networking--Email Clients/Servers. Added 5 bookmarks and deleted 2 outdated bookmarks. Database Maintenance The weekly htcheck report was last run on August 15th. There were 80 problem urls. As stated in my previous report, most of these problems could be easily fixed. Whenever possible I email the website maintainer to determine if their site will be coming back online. There are 22 such queries awaiting answers. Since the last update to this list 37 urls have been deleted and in most cases these were replaced by equivalent sites found via Google. Running the htcheck report and dealing with the problems on a regular basis has gradually reduced the number of problems appearing on the report. The end result is a better site. If any of you spot out-of-date bookmarks that you think should be removed, please let me know.
