Category: Midi Group: 0.9.x >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Geoff Beasley (songshop) Assigned to: Robert Jonsson (spamatica) Summary: hung notes everywhere Initial Comment: this really has to be fixed. notes are left hanging everywhere. the only way to stop them is to select the channel that is hanging ( sometimes many at a time) and depress the sustain pedal...all notes off silences the note but does not correct the pedal status..happens using Kontakt2 and/or Linuxsampler on the same machine or over midi to another machine. can someone else try to replicate this ? Rosegarden does not exhibit this behaviour at all on these machines... however i much prefer MusE :) g. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robert Jonsson (spamatica) Date: 2007-08-16 22:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=81832 Originator: NO A fix that adresses the following has been committed: - sustain-up is sent if needed when stop is pressed - sustain-up is sent if needed when looping Would be grateful if you could test it and see if if it works (and is the right fix ;) check out latest source with: cvs -z3 -d:pserver:ano...@lm...:/cvsroot/lmuse co -rREL07 -P muse ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robert Jonsson (spamatica) Date: 2007-07-13 22:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=81832 Originator: NO Finally coming around... I did a quick test but since I'm no keyboard player I probably did it wrongly.. Basically I need to understand what you do when the notes get stuck. Is it during recording or during playback of recorded material ? Or something else? I need to be able to reproduce the problem. If it's during playback perhaps you could send me a song sample. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Geoff Beasley (songshop) Date: 2007-04-08 23:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1236860 Originator: YES ok, here's a little workaround. i recorded into another track with the same channel as the piano then recorded the sus peal. moved this "controller" track over the original piano track and glued in place. it seems that subsequent overdubs is what's broken. muse stops recording the pedal up after one or two movements so it just hangs here. the pedal is shown a s very thin line btw in the controller panel in pianoroll that need to be addressed as well, you can barly see it ! :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Geoff Beasley (songshop) Date: 2007-04-08 22:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1236860 Originator: YES Overdub of sustain pedal is certainly broken. you get total garbage most times. most events are not recorded at all. notes are fine, just controller 64 seems no good. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=604222&aid=1692665&group_id=93414 |
