I didn't see a response. If you are feeling slightly adventurous, you could make your own file in /usr/lib/pkgconfig. When I've had to do this I just take and existing file and modify as needed. For example here is the jack.pc file prefix=/usr exec_prefix=${prefix} libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib includedir=${prefix}/include Name: jack Description: the Jack Audio Connection Kit: a low-latency synchronous callback-based media server Version: 0.100.7 Libs: -L${libdir} -ljack "" Cflags: -I${includedir} As you can see there isn't much to it. Sent: Thursday, April 6, 2006 7:25:34 AM Subject: [Lmuse-user] VST through libFST... is it still possible? Hi, I really want to try muse, but VST support is essential to me. I tried compiling fst-1.6, but from what I understand the newer versions of wine just can't cope with it. Then, after quite some searching I found out there was a fst-1.7 ( http://joebutton.co.uk/fst/ ). So, I figured that would save the day. But when I do "./configure --enable-vst" I still get: checking for FST... Package libfst was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libfst.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'libfst' found This is correct, as fst-1.7 doesn't create that file, it doesn't even have a "make install" option as far as I could tell. So... What should I do? give up trying to get VST's to work? Use an older version of wine to build fst-1.6 (and if so which)? Wait for a newer version of muse? I'd really like to play with muse.... As long as it has VST support. Any and all help are greatly appreciated. Jacco Kramer |
