Piet's contract with SGI finished before he could check them into the 2.4
tree. I've sent
Matt a patch to the 2.4 tree that contains the same modifications. Part of
the problem is
that Andreas' changes for the cross-system lcrash merged crossed between the
two trees
(Piet got into the 2.5 tree first and Andreas got into the 2.4 tree first).
The changes should
have gone into both trees in the same order.
