Version 2.0.0 of the video editing / VJ application LiVES has been released.

Support was added for fast opening of MPEG TS (HDV) clips. Backup and restore is now much faster. Bugs were fixed for rendered effect triggers, undo cut, file open preview, and pad audio. The timer code was cleaned up, and experimental support was added for video analyzer, data processing, and audio generating plugins. Version 1.6.1 of the video editing and VJ application, LiVES, has been released.

The latest release of the LiVES package adds support for live camera/TV card inputs.

This version fixes a hang/crash in the pulse audio player, allows setting of start/end points for clips in the multitrack window and adds 4 new realtime transitions.

New features include out-of-the-box support for pulse audio, a new set listing feature for "Reload Set", and patches for building on BSD and Solaris. In addition, the multitrack audio mixer was broken in the last release and this has now been fixed. Also includes an initial translation to Finnish.

Yes, the best and most popular Linux video editing software does it again - a new update. This version is in preparation for the 1.0 release which will take place during OSCON 2009. All features have now been frozen pending the 1.0 version, so please report any bugs encountered to the lives-users mailing list.

The countdown to 1.0 begins now...!

Version 0.9.9.9 of LiVES has been released. This version adds support for realtime audio mxing in the multitrack window, fixes some rendering bugs, and adds an initial Russian and much improved Italian translations.

This will be the last of the development releases before 1.0 pre, so it is important that users report any bugs, no matter how trivial in order to get them fixed for 1.0.

Version 0.9.9.8 of LiVES has been released. Changes in this version include:

Fix track visibility when on video track > 0 (regression).
Right click in separate window will save frame (regression).
Improved usability of audio_transition.
Fix crash in text parameters (regression).
Improved handling of jack startup problems.
Fix mt time selection with mouse mode select.
Implement several new OMC commands for the background clip.
Audio fade in/out can now be applied to the selection.
Remove redundant "bgcolour" preference.

Version 0.9.8.5 of LiVES (http://lives.sourceforge.net) has been released.

Changes in this release include:

Fix crash when "clear realtime effects" or "load default keymap" is
clicked in the realtime effects window (regression).
Fix selection end when timeline is zoomed.
Add option "change video speed to fit time".
Add "VJ/Reset frames and frame rates".
Add "reset current framerate" key (ctrl-enter).
Support for opening images containing multiple frames (e.g. animated gif).

Because of a file load/save bug in the original 0.9.8 release, I have released 0.9.8.2

Anyone who downloaded 0.9.8 is advised to upgrade ASAP.
