Hi all, I have been using the home-brew serial receiver for quite some time with excellent results. (Thanks to all involved in the circuit design and developing the software!) Now I would like to add a transmitter. I wasn't completely clear, but it sounds like I wire it to DTR and GRN on the *same* serial port as my receiver.=20 Is that correct? Is anybody successfully using the home-brew receiver and the simple transmitter (single diode, resistor, and IR LED) on the same serial port?=20 I don't need much range as I can place the LED right in front of my tuner.=20 I'd consider using one of the more complex transmitters, but I'd like to avoid adding a power supply, and while Enrique Vidal's improved transmitter (powered by the capacitor) looks great, I'm getting tired of soldering! :-) Thanks, Mark |
