Hello, I've posted the following problem already in the debian bugtracking system as a bug of xawtv (#134092), but the more I think about it it seems to be a problem of lirc (or liblirc). I have a problem related to lirc<->xawtv. I have set up a more complex ~/.lircrc and it works great if I start xawtv with irexec. If I start xawtv manually it works also, but not fully. I have set up a special ~/.lircrc so one can reproduce the problem. -~/.lircrc----------------------------------------------------------- #start xawtv from irexec begin prog = irexec remote = LP20337-004-SAT-BIT button = POWER config = xawtv& mode = xawtv flags = once end begin xawtv #zap to next station (only to show that xawtv receives its signals) begin prog = xawtv remote = LP20337-004-SAT-BIT button = UP config = setstation next end #Press key 3 in the Current active window (not necessary xawtv!) begin prog = irxevent remote = LP20337-004-SAT-BIT button = 3 config = Key 3 CurrentWindow end end xawtv -~/.lircrc----------------------------------------------------------- If you start xawtv from irexec with the POWER-Button and then press the 3-Button it will change to program 3 (or whatever you have key 3 configured to). If you start xawtv manually and then press button 3 nothing happens! It seems to me, that irexec does not know that it has to be in mode xawtv. I'm using lirc 0.6.5.
