Hi, I have an Asus P2L97 and the corresponding 5-pin IrDa device (I don't know the manufacturer). IrDa works fine on my Linux machine (kernel 2.4.12) with the tekram module, so I can connect to my Nokia 6210. I tried to compile Lirc with the tekram module but I can't depmod because of "unresolved symbols". Ok. I tried the lirc_sir module, i can insmod it, but mode2 don't show anything. So I tried the lirc_serial module, i can insmod it too, but mode2 shows still nothing. While making this tests tehre was no IrDa (kernel)module inserted and no serial module. My serial ports ar on ttyS1 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) and ttyS2 at 0x03e8 (irq = 4). The lirc_serial module detects a high receiver (ttyS1) or low receiver (ttyS2). While inserting the lirc_sir module i get this message in my logs: <snip> Oct 29 13:28:48 jack kernel: lirc_sir: I/O port 0x03f8, IRQ 4. Oct 29 13:28:48 jack kernel: enable_irq(4) unbalanced from cc8688e7 Oct 29 13:28:48 jack kernel: lirc_sir: Installed. <snip> In my bios is set to use IrDa on com2 (irq=4 io=0x3e8), so ttyS2 should be right. Today I tried the pix-remote from http://www.jeet.nu/ and it works, but is very small... Could anybody help me to configure my Lirc to get it work? Please. Thanks Milosz |
