Hello! I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 Natty which was released the other day. After the upgrade my remote stopped working. I've searched around a bit and found a page[1] instructing me to upgrade to lirc 0.9x to get it fully working. I downloaded from git and got 0.9.1-git (110429). Wasn't able to figure out what to choose in setup.sh but manually changed the configure.sh-script to --driver=devinput as I have read somewhere that I should use. Driver loading in dmesg output: [ 8.827892] IR NEC protocol handler initialized [ 8.836586] IR RC5(x) protocol handler initialized [ 8.854161] IR RC6 protocol handler initialized [ 8.863126] IR JVC protocol handler initialized [ 8.868158] Registered IR keymap rc-rc6-mce [ 8.868538] input: Nuvoton w836x7hg Infrared Remote Transceiver as /devices/virtual/rc/rc0/input4 [ 8.868790] rc0: Nuvoton w836x7hg Infrared Remote Transceiver as /devices/virtual/rc/rc0 [ 8.870998] IR Sony protocol handler initialized [ 8.880616] lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 250 [ 8.884836] rc rc0: lirc_dev: driver ir-lirc-codec (nuvoton-cir) registered at minor = 0 [ 8.884847] IR LIRC bridge handler initialized [ 8.892146] nuvoton_cir: driver has been successfully loaded Started up lirc with a lircd.conf including /usr/share/lirc/remotes/devinput/lircd.conf.devinput and a hardware.conf like this (from here[2]): REMOTE="Linux input layer (/dev/input/eventX)" REMOTE_MODULES="" REMOTE_DRIVER="devinput" REMOTE_DEVICE="/dev/input/event4" REMOTE_SOCKET="" REMOTE_LIRCD_CONF="devinput/lircd.conf.devinput" REMOTE_LIRCD_ARGS="" TRANSMITTER="None" TRANSMITTER_MODULES="" TRANSMITTER_DRIVER="" TRANSMITTER_DEVICE="" TRANSMITTER_SOCKET="" TRANSMITTER_LIRCD_CONF="" TRANSMITTER_LIRCD_ARGS="" START_LIRCD="true" START_LIRCMD="" LOAD_MODULES="" LIRCMD_CONF="" FORCE_NONINTERACTIVE_RECONFIGURATION="false" If I do 'irw' I get nothing. If I test with ir-keytable I can clearly see that the remote is working though so I think my config is wrong? $ sudo ir-keytable Found /sys/class/rc/rc0/ (/dev/input/event4) with: Driver nuvoton-cir, table rc-rc6-mce Supported protocols: NEC RC-5 RC-6 JVC SONY LIRC Enabled protocols: NEC RC-5 RC-6 JVC SONY LIRC Repeat delay = 500 ms, repeat period = 33 ms $ sudo ir-keytable -t Testing events. I had one problem there, wakeup didn't work as it did with Asrock's driver. Is this (was this) a problem with nuvoton_cir? The only thing I did to get that to work before was 'echo CIR > /proc/acpi/wakeup'. Many thanks in advance if someone can help!
