Hi I have my own tira-code-based remote (B&O Beo4 on a custom future techs USB dongle). When starting the lircd daemon with "sudo /etc/init.d/lirc start" it is ok Then running irw makes the daemon disappear. When running "sudo lircd -d /dev/ttyUSB0" irw works fine and returns the expected. I actually have "Elisa" (www.fluendo.com) up and running using lirc and my Beo4 remote (its great!) The hardware.conf file has all the REMOTE variables set to "", except REMOTE_DRIVER = "tira" (I crashed the network on the machine so I do not have the real conf-file here - sorry) Which of the other variables should point to "/dev/ttyUSB0" ? Should I mention "/dev/lircd" anywhere? I tried different combinations, but could not seem to make it work. Does the "sudo /etc/init.d/lirc start" run in another context than "sudo lircd -d /dev/ttyUSB0" ?
