Hello, I'm trying to get the infrared receiver on my HVR-1950 to work correctly. For a while it was working correctly using lirc_i2c, but I can't get it to work consistently. Best I can tell, the issue is with the IR chip detection. When the IR card works, I get something like: [ 666.020522] lirc_i2c: chip 0x10005 found @ 0x71 (Hauppauge PVR150) When it doesn't, I get this instead: [ 147.805071] lirc_i2c: chip 0x10005 found @ 0x1a (Hauppauge IR) which causes the HVR-1950 driver to go down, because 0x1a isn't an IR device on the HVR-1950. (http://www.isely.net/pipermail/pvrusb2/2008-July/001849.html) Whether lirc_i2c gets it right or not seems to be fairly arbitrary. Is there a way to specify to lirc_i2c which address to use? Something in hardware.conf, perhaps? (BTW, I tried using the lirc_pvr150 module, but that fails rather miserably with a "lirc_pvr150: i2c_master_send failed with -5" error, and Google is of absolutely no use on trying to figure that one out.) Thanks. |
