I have a 0038 in a Silverstone GD01 and failed to switch off the backlight, too. I don't use LCDd, but my own driver program (in order to have full graphical access), but got the commands from the LCDd source, IIRC. (And the machine did not switch it off in standby mode, either. But then, Linux fails to wake up anyway (darn!), so I currently cannot use standby.) Something else failed but I don't remember exactly. Maybe there are different backlight brightness settings? If so, that failed, too. (But contrast settings work.) **Henrik |
